1 Month Ago Today I Was A Hospital Babe
What were you doing a month ago today?
October 18th, 2016.
This is where I was.
1 month ago today, I came here, around 5 am.
It was dark. The wait here seem like the longest.
I did try to message some friends.
Then they were like “Alesha.”
And then I was called in the office to sign all the papers.
Then after getting done, I sat back in the waiting room.
My nurse’s name was Laura.
I told her I never been in the hospital for anything so this is new to me. But I’m tired of being in pain. It was a double edged sword. If there was a way to avoid this, I would have. My nurse told me that she would get me through it.
I went through two double doors after checking back in with my mom and they prepped me. As usual, changed from normal clothes to hospital clothes. Ah it’s finally starting.
After they put the needle in my arm,
I waited.
And waited.
I met my surgeon.
And waited.
Waited.
I waited long enough to take pictures.
Then I met my 3 nurses.
I told them hi.
I chilled in the hospital bed until 8:00 amish.
Then they rolled my butt into the surgery room.
The surgeon was right.
He told me I would be out in 10 minutes.
I looked up at the light. And that’s the last thing I remember.
That medicine had me out in three.
I don’t remember anything about the surgery.
I woke up thinking I was hit by a car. I was happy that I had a great surgery team. But dayum, that surgery hurt.
I fainted. I puked. I saw purple and yellow. I was in so much pain. Still am.
Still recovering by the way.
But I’ll keep writing for you! If everything on my body hurts, I still have my fingers to use.
