Hey I haven't read this story all the way through yet. Thanks for writing this and sharing your perspective! But as someone who gets attention from guys all the time and wishes it stop. Anyone (ladies) want to switch places with me? (I'm a great foodie and wingwoman for my girls, but I really don't like that attention on me. I've found my lane and staying in it). I was taught growing up that validation comes from the inside, not from what others think. I personally do not like cat calling, staring, none of it. I sport a modest look and some guys out here act like I'm wearing a two piece swim suit. It's ridiculous. Building trust is on top of my list, and that behavior turns me off so much. I do like compliments, respectfully, especially if it comes from a person who's opinion I trust. I'm the only child and crave my alone time. My big thing is it coming from an honest and genuine place. Just my two cents. I look forward to reading more of your work. I love reading work from authors who's views different from my own too.
