I agree. Many people in my hometown Indianapolis is like that. (Not trying to knock anyone). It’s either you get married, have kids do what everyone else is doing. Or leave and get out of your comfort zone. In order to get people to understand that I was going to go after acting and music I had to come on up out of there (with being in Indianapolis sometimes for commercial work, they get REALLY GOOD COMMERCIAL WORK). I’m getting ready to write another article about that, but I got tired of people asking me about boyfriend and marriage…which is what is the “expected next step” but I’m living life on my own terms. I record music in Chicago. And do film in LA and NY. I’m finding that being in bigger more entertainment friendly markets I get so much more done. I love Indianapolis to pieces but I had to get out of there more often to get more done.
