I Survived Without A Television For 100+ days

Best Buy.

I gained more sleep, and surprisingly didn’t miss any of my line-ups.

Around the time Taylor Swift released Lover, and Hoda Kotb was on maternity leave, my television popped off. It went out. There was a black shadow across the screen for a month or two before the big boom.

Here’s what I noticed from my accidental 100+ day drought without a TV

#1 I didn’t watch the news or any line-up, and actually didn’t care. I didn’t Google any of the shows or wonder what they were up to.

#2 Since there’s a tendency for the news to report negative news stories for ratings, I wasn’t in the know about who killed who. I was in another reality.

#3. My sleep cycle and schedule improved. My mom always likes to turn on the tv at night when I’m home, or when she is in my hotel, my home or whatever. I like it off throughout the night. I notice when the television is turned on, IT MESSES WITH MY SLEEPING CYCLE.

If you are a fan of the following shows, DO NOT RUIN IT FOR ME.

Chicago Fire, Med (PD still hasn’t grown on me like the other two).

Mom

Young Sheldon

Dynasty

Supergirl

God Friended Me

I haven't watched tv since August 2019. Since November 8th, 2019 was the day mom got a new television for me as a early Christmas present, my streak is broken.

Since being back, Kelly Clarkson and Tamron Hall started their own shows. Anna Huntsman from the view is back from maternity leave. Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb are back on air. Lucas Black left NCIS New Orleans aka LaSalle was killed. Same with Chicago Fire’s Otis.

When it came to story lines, I did miss a lot. It’s a episode or two away from being the season finale.

I might leave the television turned off more often, especially at night time. The impeachment coverage has made me turn off the tv too.
