I’m quoting you in a future article because it’s so true. “When someone moves up the food chain, it’s considered a threat and people want to keep you under their thumb.”

That’s why most of of my old school friends don’t talk to me either. Misery loves company. When I started my businesses and got on Huffington Post (and I never worked a 9 to 5er), they stopped talking to me. It was OK when we were all in school at the same level. But oh you moving up? You even look like you doing better? That’s intimidating. Ironically, when they were doing well I was supportive of them. But was that returned to me? Of course not! That mindset sucks because there’s room for everyone at the table to be successful. And even if someone is more successful than me? It’s a learning opportunity, there’s no reason to start hating and being jealous! It’s so silly. Hopefully one day they will figure that out. Doubt it though lol.
