I usually post two blog posts a day.
But Miami Beach is something special.
It deserves it’s own day on my blog. Damn you’re beautiful.
My mom is trying to convince me to look at other parts of Florida before I lay my hat in Miami part time. Miami Beach made that decision so difficult.
Destin, I get it that you exist.
Boca Raton, I get it that you exist.
Key West, I get it that you exist.
Fort Myers, I get it that you exist
Kissimmee, I get it that you exist.
Every Sexy Florida City, I get it that you exist.
I’m just going to tour every town for myself.
The first visit to this heavenly paradise was with my family reunion (showing my family a lot of love).
So I roll up with my family in this car to this exotic-looking part of Miami that reminds me of a California type town that you see in a movie.
I set foot on this beach and fell in love.
You know when you look at beach magazines and imagine yourself there? And you looked up and your dream is reality?
I had one of those moments. Especially when you get out of the car and get on the beach side walk and this guy comes up to you saying:
“Ay, have a coconut? I can crack it open for you?” Just the way he said it sounded like I was on the island in paradise.
Miami Beach is it’s own city in Miami (another bombshell I learned about being down here, there’s little beach cities within Miami).
People keep saying that if I move to this part, the hurricanes will get me. Or that the water levels are low and subject to floods.
Ok. Ok. Ok. Ok. Don’t care. Look below and tell me if you would care…
There are also these cute little lizard bug types that run around on the sidewalk near the parking lot. They are so cute.
I walked up and down the beach with my cousin Becky collecting sea shells (I’m still on the search for big ones). I also found a good mix of corral, big shells, and little shells.
Being in Florida, I got a sunburn (between me and you not too excited about that). As I was walking across the beach, it was scorching hot so I guess I have to reapply my sunscreen more often.
We found so many seashells that my hands were getting full and I had to ask Becky to help me out.
I will explore this area more and of course write about it.
