WEEK OF May 30 — June 5, 2022

Happy cosmic birthday! Well, not technically for all you Gems, but this Monday, May 30, is a very special day for Twins as it brings the year’s only new moon in your sign and first house of identity! This astrological New Year is one of the best days of 2022 for setting intentions, clarifying existing goals and letting go of anything that no longer aligns with how you’re feeling NOW. And while we do think of new moons as fresh starts, they’re also a powerful time to release anything (or anyone) that’s holding you back from lunging into those initiatives. The only catch is that to make the most of this event, you need to be really honest with yourself. What’s YOUR role in those difficult relationships; what not-exactly-sterling behavior or limiting beliefs are you ready to quit dragging around? And, the harder question: What are you willing to quit for good? Step up to that challenge and you can do a system-wide refresh on your whole life! This is a time to let yourself dream — and to dream BIG. What does your heart truly desire: a certain type of relationship, travel and adventure, or maybe the work and service you want to put into the world? Ignore what you think you SHOULD want and focus on what’s inside your soul. Take two weeks if necessary (peak manifesting time for this moon) and listen deeply. You might be wildly surprised by what you tap into.

As your ruler, Mercury, prepares to wrap up its three-week retrograde on Friday, you might still be feeling a bit tongue-tied or (atypically) at a loss for words. But with the course correction comes a lifting of the galactic gag order! If you’ve been out of sorts or just had a sense that your messages weren’t landing, this pivot to forward motion will come as a blessed relief. This particular retrograde began in your sign on May 10 and might have quickly put the kibosh on plans you were ready to get going on. Then, on May 22, the cosmic messenger tumbled back into Taurus and your unconscious twelfth house, making it near-impossible to know what was “real” and what were your projections — or others’ attempts to mislead. Once Mercury spins forward on Friday you can clear up the confusion and restore order in the Gemini court. Go ahead and speak your truth. Anyone who can’t handle it doesn’t deserve to have such a loyal and candid person in their life!

Just as Mercury is racing out of the starting gate, some speed bumps might show up starting Saturday, courtesy of cautious Saturn, who’s turning retrograde in Aquarius and your expansive, adventurous ninth house until October 23. Perhaps a couple years of a pandemic taught you to be more content closer to home and with limited access to the things you normally gravitate to (Parties! Festivals! Large-scale events!). And now you get to see what you still are yearning for and are willing to put effort into manifesting. This applies to activities but also your actions. Your freedom may feel like it was put on a short leash, and you’ll be reminded to think before you speak — or text or post on social. Not that you have to silence yourself for the next five months — just make sure that what you’re planning to say or do is truly aligned with your highest intentions. This Saturn cycle can slow down progress, but it can be deeply enlightening if you use it for your self-awareness and edification.

MONTH OF June

Smooth sailing through the rest of Gemini season? After the eclipse season that we all endured in May — mixed in with your ruler, Mercury, turning retrograde — you’re emerging from a turbulent but transformational month. Once Mercury corrects course on June 3, you should be ready to celebrate your birthday (even belatedly) all the way to the summer solstice on June 21. With bountiful Jupiter spending its first full month in Aries and your friendship corner, it’s a perfect time to gather your favorite people and connect in person!

Relationships are in the spotlight at the Sagittarius supermoon on June 14. A key partnership that’s been developing since the December 4 Sagittarius solar eclipse could reach an important turning point. Things may get official, or you might decide to go your separate ways.

This month also serves up two more outer planet retrogrades, longer cycles that will last about five months each. Structured Saturn turns retrograde in Aquarius and your global sector, indicating that you might have some business travel in the cards — or the need to stay local a little more between now and late October. Hazy Neptune also reverses course in your career sector from June 28 to December 3, which could actually force you to get more serious about your responsibilities or take a complete sabbatical from them. A summer of soul-searching can help you clarify the path you’re “meant to be” on.

This is your cue to take those grand Gemini-season ideas and start building them into something concrete. While others dash off on their summer vacations, you can use the next four weeks productively, making major headway on your goals — then take your getaway after July 22.

The June 28 Cancer new moon could bring a job or moneymaking offer, along with fresh insights about your career path. Your confidence also gets a boost, and this surge in self-worth may coincide with an uptick in your net worth. Choose a couple of meaningful projects and chip away at them, bit by bit. That doesn’t mean the distant moon won’t work its magic — and we can’t see the new moon anyhow — but it may not be quite as impactful as a supermoon, which occurs when la luna is at the CLOSEST point (perigee) to our planet.

Neptune turns retrograde June 28-December 3

On June 28, hazy Neptune will start its annual retrograde, reversing through Pisces and your career zone until December 3. Biting off too much could leave you exhausted and overwhelmed. Take stock of which projects and professional connections energize you and which ones leave you feeling drained. Ditch or delegate things that zap your mojo.

If you’ve been engaged in a passive-aggressive power struggle with an authority figure, consider just dropping it — or shifting your attention elsewhere. Rarely does anyone win these kinds of battles. The tenth house rules father figures, so look honestly: Are there some dad or family-of-origin issues being played out here?

During this summer-long transit, soul-searching about your career path could be in order. In some cases, Neptune retrograde actually rolls BACK the fog, helping you see things more clearly. You may glimpse a manipulative person’s motives or, on the contrary, find heart-stirring compassion for a person you’ve been judging or treating harshly. (You know who they are, Gemini.) Has your home become too much of a hideaway, Gemini? Or maybe you’re treating it like a pit stop between your endless jaunts. Wherever you fall on the domestic spectrum, this Tuesday, June 7 is bound to bring a shift. Moving objects around in the corners representing your career, money or relationship CAN shift the energy. (So, um, maybe those suitcases in your love corner have something to do with the baggage-laden dates you’ve been attracting — or your own romantic restlessness.) You’ve got nothing to lose by moving things around and placing a smarter symbolic object there, like say, a thriving plant…or make that two of them!

The fourth house governs family, so if you see room for improvement in a certain relationship, approach the matter gently near Tuesday. Focus on what you’d love to make better instead of harping on the pain point. For example, maybe you find yourself constantly loading dirty dishes that are stacked up in the sink. (None of which were used by you, thank you very much.) Irritating, yes, but go in gently like, “I’d love to keep the sink area clear, can we make a practice of washing our plates and cups right after we use them?” Then, tack up a cute lil’ reminder note to get everyone in the practice. Does your inner unicorn have room to roam…at least in the privacy of your own home?
