Should I Get A Medium Membership Or Not?
For the time being, I plan on keeping my articles for free, so people can read regardless.
I want people to be able to access my articles, medium account or not. I do notice they allow 3 articles per month.
When I first signed up for Medium back in 2016, I enjoyed writing and not worrying about buying anything.
I miss the days of mostly free reading.
In the past year or so, they really been pushing the Medium membership. As you know, if someone has to pressure me, I lose interest.
Why I would consider signing up:
I bookmarked so many articles that I won’t ever be able to get to them all having 3 free reads a month.
I’ve discovered so many writers on this platform! Either I find them at random or they like one of my posts and I look them up. I usually go to the VERY first post they wrote (which takes me a long time, sorry y’all). And literally work my way up to their current articles. If it appears I haven’t read something of yours in a long time, my bad! Sometimes as I scroll the page crashes, and I gotta try to get to your first article again all over. For the people I’m following on here, FYI: It’s going to take a while to get to your articles and I hope Medium does something where it’s easier to get to older articles.
You will know it’s me who invaded your article, because I’m a highlighting queen.
Currently, I have no interest in buying and I’ll let you know if that changes.
