I’ve been having a lot of angel numbers appear in my life. 1010. 555. 333. 1212. 444. 1111. A lot of cool phenomenon I cannot ignore.

I saw 333 before my baby cousin was born on August 10th, 2021..My close friend had her kid on August 8th, 2021. Another close friend (my love Amelia!) had her kid on August 22nd, 2021 and I saw a hella lot of angel numbers. According to Ryan Hart, this meant that a baby was going to be born.

Very quiet, reserved, and tired to the point where if I’m not talking, I get annoyed with the “ARE YOU OK questions?” I have a quiet, laid back side, don’t mind me. People forget that silence is golden.

Let me see here. Here’s my 2 cents angels.
I realize now that most of my experiences in school came from people thinking they were smarter and superior by default. Instead of getting to know me for me, they had an idea of what they thought I should be based on stereotypes and race. While some of my white sisters (and relatives for that matter) from another mother have been the best blessings in my life and I’m lucky to have them; others have ignored me, only wanted to be my friend when it was convenient or maintain an image. I have clearly stated in many of my articles at this point that I pick friends based on content of character, and I also pick friends on the same wavelength and energy. I have so many friends from so many walks of life, experiences and backgrounds.
It’s not everyone, clearly, but it’s a pattern that I subconsciously noticed in Alpha Phi Omega (an example I keep bringing up because it’s a great learning lesson), an organization I was in, which I clearly dropped. And other spaces. They assumed that I couldn’t be president because of my skin color (found this out later down the road and people just plain told me this, and at first I didn’t want to believe it, but the evidence was hard to ignore). There was times when I was not being listened to, and they definitely listened to my white male counterpart (major conscious bias).I can tell I wasn’t given the same benefit of the doubt like my other white peers. You gotta be better. Racial biases was at play, they were more comfortable with voting in another white person. You still get the doubts. There are always gonna be people, because of what you look like and what your skin color is, that will question your qualifications.
Unfortunately, too many people have a perception that black, Asian, Hispanic people, can’t be in key leadership positions just because you’re black, Asian, Hispanic, or another race that’s non white. They just assume that it’s always gonna be somebody else.
Somebody would come out to meet and I wasn’t the person that they walked up to. Even people in my own organization(s) went to my white male counterpart first. I EVEN NOTICE THIS BIAS BEHAVIOR IN CURRENT ORGANIZATIONS I’M IN. I was being also being condescended to even by people, my own former brothers/people who I was in organizations with who supposedly know me whenever a new topic is being discussed. And way too often, I was also being treated dumb by people dumber than me. (Yes if any of you happen to be reading this, too many of you dummies went along to get along, so I’m calling you out because it’s all stupid. It’s all stupid to assume that people can’t do something because of their skin color. It’s all about the reactions that are beyond your control, imagine people thinking that your stupid, incompetent or physically weaker by default and making a judgment call without getting to know you as a human being?).
No matter how much effort and energy I put into APO and other organizations, it was never enough. Nothing I did would ever be enough, because they perceived less from me because I was black. Awards and recognition mean nothing if my own brothers kept going behind my back. Loyalty and trust mean more to me than a service award. Working twice as hard to prove their expectations and perceptions of black people was wrong didn’t do it because no matter what I did. Throughout my time in Alpha Phi Omega and even in my past churches, I realized that even if I did do things error free, someone would have found something. I would and will never get the same benefit of the doubt as my white friends if they get in trouble.
Unwritten rules:
- Don’t be an angry black woman.
- Don’t be too loud or obnoxious.
- Don’t be scary or threatening.
- Speaking your mind is dangerous. You’re supposed to be quiet and go along to get along. (If you get out of your place, we will do things like sue you or try to make life hard for you. People will believe our word over yours, because your black and you don’t matter anyways. Remember, you’re beneath everyone.)
- You gotta be better (even though you will get every stone thrown at you no matter how good you do things).
- Black lives only matter if you stay in your place and don’t say anything. You speak out or try to stay something? Well then.
- When you’re right no one remembers. When you’re wrong, no one forgets.
Why expose something I deal with with people who don’t care? (Because I know if they care, I own Medium. And I’m president of the United States. In other words, they never cared AND they don’t.)
It’s a lifetime of frustration and to this day I’m keeping the conversation going about race relations in the United States as much as possible. Angels, I will face the issues until the day I die due to some mean mean people on earth. To keep having to make things a race issue is unfortunate (because I don’t like to keep pulling the race card, or playing victim) but it is what it is. I address racism when I have to. This is the state of affairs of the world I live in. I may have kept my cool during my time in APO because I didn’t want to believe that a lot of people I cared about thought less of me at the subconscious level, but I will be vocal about what happened to me there and in other spaces as much as possible to help others.
It was exhausting putting that much effort into something to realize that a lot people in it subconsciously saw me as less than by default. Or would exclude me out of a friend group based on skin color. Being vulnerable and putting my heart into something there led to painful results. If I appear to be a little bit more reserved in putting my all into something or if it appears I’m being careful with my heart, experiences like this is why.
To finish this off, angels, I’m used to people believing everyone else but me. I’m used to people lying on me and people siding with other people but me. Being the only child growing up, I’ve been used to not getting the benefit of the doubt and dealing with things on my own. Being a black person in the United States, you have to almost expect a white person’s (and everyone else’s word for that matter) word to be believed over yours. And your life doesn’t matter and isn’t valued. People will lie and talk about me behind my back until the day I die. The misinformation seems unfair, but I stay above it and trust that the truth will come out. And get you your own people like Acshettle and Steve Bello.

I understand now why so many people didn’t want to join APO and other orgs at the time when I reached out. Too many times, the excluding nature of too many people who they perceive are different/better than them can turn people away.
Angels, because of these behaviors and all the bad experiences in school, I will not touch an 9 to 5er with a 1000 foot pole. I can side step any and all potential racism, sexism, office politics, manipulation tactics, silent treatments, bullying, lawsuits, and bullshit. Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart, but I rather do that then be in a rat race, putting my fate in someone else’s hands (and trusting other people outside myself has always led to horrible consequences).
It can be frustrating when big opportunities slip away, not because you were not qualified, but because the world told you “no.” Now you might be wondering if you missed your one shot at success.

If I ever had a problem, I would come talk to you about it. They purposely went out of their way to destroy my life, to the point where l really rather be a lone wolf.

I like making mistakes generally.
But.
Especially ones that are financial and it’s gotten so bad that a bank blacklisted me and will not let me re-open my account, even though the tellers admitted that they are coming down too hard on me. An hacker hacked my account, used my IP address and got my code. I had this bank account for years, and it got hacked. And now I’m seen as a bad customer. Do you really think I’m going to vulnerable that easily anymore? I’m definitely more guarded and careful of who I trust nowadays.
I also don’t mind admitting when I’m wrong, like the times I thought positive about relationships and marriage…..Angels, loves, we discussed this multiple times throughout this article. I can’t be held responsible for what my face does when you talk soulmates. I haven’t always been this cold and sarcastic, it’s taken a while.

Secret confession: I do sometimes wish I avoided signing up for college, I’m trying VERY HARD not to say regret, but I’m knocking on that door. The repercussions, mental anguish, financial damage, harassment, fall from grace, lawsuits in 2015, humiliations, student loans, racism to me is not worth it. I saw a evil side to people on my campus; I watched people do cruel things to people to set them up to fail. I do love my friends I met, maybe I could have just moved into an apartment on campus, and met people that way, like a handful of people I knew did. Shit. They all know the people I’m currently close with, and they got the college experience without all the shit and student loans. I’ve could have met all the people I still know now without all the damn drama and embarrassment, holy shit. We all ran in the same dorms, food courts, friend circles, parties, clubs and bars. They borrowed friends ids' and experienced the college life without the headaches. To endure a lifetime trauma and damage, and not be able to financially do things for years because I liked a school at 8, and decided I wanted to go there at 13, worked for 18 years of my life to get to a place and realize it’s a slaughterhouse, and torture chamber of yourself esteem and dreams, yeah I’m having thoughts. I’m just now getting to a descent place again with a few loose ends to tighten up. And for the 300th time, I’M NOT GETTING MARRIED at this time if ever. Good lord, why do people act like being alone is a bad thing? And I don’t want to be a mom either. Team Aunty!
Let me put it this way. I made a mistake at 18 (signing up for college), believing the information at the time that it was going to make my life better, only to end up in an never ending nightmare of looking over my shoulder for years. Right now I’m convinced this is hell and I’m working my way to heaven. If I find heaven on earth I’ll let you know. It’s bothersome to me how everyone growing up told me this would make my life better, but college is making my life worst, and everyday, I’m reminded of it.
(If you are reading this and you don’t think you can pay for college, and are thinking about not going to school like a lot of my entrepreneurial circles have and considering taking a different route. I ask you to consider your options, and don’t let your family, friends or peer pressure get the best of you, easier said than done I know. Those student loan people show no mercy and can ruin your finances for years and potentially for life. Even when I was sick in the hospital with a cancer scare, they are diabolical. If you do go to college, I hope it works out for you, and I hope you can pay. I take a shot every time a friend pays off/dodges their student loans by moving out the country because those mfs are vicious. )
What if something /a mistake you did in your past follows you for the rest of your life? I notice a lot of these angel messages say move on from the past, but if the past keeps/kept you from buying a house, getting credit cards, getting a car, affording the basic necessities, and having the basic human dignity to do daily tasks, how can you realistically forget your past when you are constantly reminded of how much of a failure/mistake you made (just being honest)? Instead of college making me feel successful it had the opposite effect, it make me feel like a failure. College made me rethink what success really looks like and question everything.
In heaven and different realms it might work different, but down here you don’t pay something, there’s this thing call bad credit, creditors, lawsuits, and IRS. (And the IRS are nobody to f**** with, they will garnish your checks, house and everything, no questions asked, no mercy shown. They will do what they feel like they have to do to get there's.).
I have to protect my assets in creative ways now. I’m thankful I have legal advice and friends that helps me jump through hula hoops and the ring of fire. I don’t know how much more financially messed up I would be today if I didn’t have them.

If they can’t/don’t have the balls to come say it to me; or can’t come to me and address issues like an adult, that has everything to do with them and nothing to do with me.

I found out some organizations I did so much for ended up talking shit behind my back when I ran for president. I keep telling people, I don’t do things for credit, recognition or fame. But if people cannot be forthcoming and honest with me directly, and can’t even have an honest and respectful conversation; and instead choose to gossip and sabotage, that’s a space I no longer need to be in. I will take myself and resources elsewhere. And give my energy and time other people that are kinder, and not use me for their own purposes; instead of running when things get awkward or tough, we can have the hard, tough conversations.

I haven’t, but the Catholic church is another story. I spend time in nature meditating with animals. I cannot front appearances and try to force a connection that’s no longer there, I don’t know if I’ll ever connect like I once did. My priest at the time let the daughter of a wealthy man ruin the school, and create a toxic school culture, with teachers backstabbing each other, and all because he was more concerned about money and Pacers’ tickets. He allowed this lady to undermine the principle, and it got to the point where teachers were going to this lady taking orders instead of going to the principle. He looked the other way when racism amongst the teachers and students happened, and were heavily discriminatory against my mom for being a single parent. The middle school teachers at the time plotted and took away a scholarship that was supposed to go to me at my 8th grade graduation out of spite, and the priest sat back and did nothing. I saw too many Catholics do very mean and cruel things. The hypocrisy, the gossipy and excluding nature of one too many of them turned me off. I really did try to get involved as a retreat leader. The high went away after the retreats were over, and some people crossed the street and pretended they didn’t know who I was after the retreats. Enough of that. You expect that shit in the world but you can’t even feel at home in church? I pull up Mass on Youtube at this point. And keep my wallet at home, because most of them churches and organized religions are only interested in your money. And are usually great at being unavailable when you need help. Or worst, putting you through so many humiliating and dehumanizing changes when you ask for help that it’s not worth even being bothered with.
I’m not a fan of organized religion at this time. I’m in a rebellious keeping my distance stage right now.

Yeah, I followed the advice of people in my family, especially when I was younger, that hard work pays off. Sometimes you can do everything right (grade school, high school, college, etc), and still get fired from a job because of things that are out of your control (economy, someone doesn’t like you, politics, racism, mind games, etc). I know people that have 4 jobs and are still struggling financially, and dropouts who are multi-millionaires by building businesses that work on autopilot, and they don’t have to lift a finger.
